Academy of Vocal Arts

In my Advanced Branding class, I took on the challenge of reimagining the visual identity for the Academy of Vocal Arts, a world-renowned institution dedicated to training elite opera soloists. The goal: create a brand system that feels as refined and expressive as the institution it represents.

Using a research-driven design approach, I rebuilt the identity from the ground up, focusing on elegant typography, a sophisticated color palette, and a layout system that elevates AVA’s legacy while giving it a fresh, contemporary voice. Each element, from the modernized word mark to the print and digital applications, was crafted to capture the power, precision, and emotion of opera. This project allowed me to push my visual storytelling and system thinking, building a cohesive brand experience that honors AVA’s tradition while looking boldly toward its future.
